Reduced power mode[]

source?[]

Where is this information from? I know some of it can be observed in Year of Hell but much of it seems apocryphal. Jaz talk | novels 22:30, 2 April 2006 (UTC)

The actual term "Reduced Power Mode" and more in-depth characteristics can be found in the Star Trek: The Next Generation Technical Manual. Also, on the Excelsior, the status displays flanking the turbolift have a special designation for "Auxillary," which, conjecturally, would be classified as a Reduced Power Mode. I have deleted the term, "Condition Grey," for lack of canonical reference, and reclassfied it strictly as "Reduced Power Mode." --Prospero 14:56, 3 April 2006 (UTC)

Yes, but most of the facts given have never been mentioned in canon. Jaz talk | novels 02:02, 5 April 2006 (UTC)

Merge 1[]

I suggest this page be merged with Star Trek: The Next Generation Technical Manual, with the info (condensed, of course) being added to that page, as was done with "External Support Mode". --From Andoria with Love 08:31, 5 November 2006 (UTC)

When USS Voyager visited the demon class planet, weren't they operating on a form of reduced-power mode? — THOR =/\= 04:16, 7 November 2006 (UTC)
Voyager did enter "Gray mode" on a couple of occasions. However, as the two conditions are much the same, I propose that Grey Mode be merged with this article. Ssaint04 15:38, 25 January 2007 (UTC)

Merge 2[]

I suggest we merge this with the aforementioned gray mode. This terminology, to the best of my determination, was never used, and comes directly from the Star Trek: The Next Generation Technical Manual. --Alan 02:09, 23 February 2008 (UTC)

I support a merge, given the lack of use for this term.--31dot 21:58, 2 March 2008 (UTC)
