- Moved from User talk:Renegade54
R-54, I deliberately did not categorize Gateway to the Future as a comic because... it is not a comic. It is a prose story with 3 illustrations. I suppose one could strain the definition of sequential art and say that they comprise a comic of sorts, though they are on three different pages. A more appropriate category would be short stories, if such a thing existed. -- Connor Cabal 22:47, 21 November 2007 (UTC)
- We don't really have a specific category for a collection of short stories, or anthology. The various Pocket Books collections get lumped under Category:Novels, so I guess it should go there. Sorry about that! :) -- Renegade54 23:23, 21 November 2007 (UTC)
- I'm not convinced. It was produced as part of the comic strip line. In addition, one of the old TSR "Spelljammer" comic books was a prose story with some drawings... and yet, it's still a comic book. As such, I think that this story should logically still fall under the comic umbrella. Until we figure out a clever way to further categorize. Someday. Someday. :) -- Sulfur 00:57, 22 November 2007 (UTC)
Well, I can't speak to the TSR bit since I am unfamilliar with it. Having looked over some of the anthology pages (ie. Strange New Worlds) while putting together this page, I had hoped that there would be a short story category. Perhaps if/when individual pages get created for short stories featured in anthologies, such a category can be created. I'm not satisfied with the comic category for "Gateway" (false advertising, I think), but I'll look the other way for now. :-P -- Connor Cabal 04:06, 22 November 2007 (UTC)
Does the story give any dates or crew names? Anonymous editors have implied that this story describes the Ent-B, but I suspect it is too generalized to make such an inference. —MJBurrage(T•C) 03:48, 26 May 2009 (UTC)
- Looking in the article's history, I don't see any anonymous editors, so I don't know why you say this. I am the one who composed the bulk of the article. I suggested the Ent-B as one possibility but did not eliminate other ships. That said, I think the Ent-B is the most plausible identification for the ship described in the story. I therefore thought it reasonable to mention the possibility on the Ent-B page, but you have removed it. You are welcome to read the story and disprove this, otherwise I do not think you are justified in your deletion. -- Connor Cabal 20:25, 26 May 2009 (UTC)
