I'm sure there are more flashbacks than just these episodes I remembered. Are there any in the movies as well? -- When it rains... it pours 18:04, 12 May 2006 (UTC)
- What about the obvious... "Flashback". It is essentially a big example of it. -- Sulfur 18:10, 12 May 2006 (UTC)
Should this not be at simply "Flashback". -- Excelsior 18:27, 8 June 2006 (UTC)
- Not since there's an episode page there.. -- Captain M.K.B. 18:32, 8 June 2006 (UTC)
Merge With Hypnagogic RegressionEdit
Can we not move this to merge and then make this a redirect to "Hypnagogic Regression" the term used by the Doctor in "The Raven"? Because there are multiple pages (Novel), (episode), (condition) I have created a disambiguation page, which should be the first place for Flashback searches. Also, does this need to be a Realworld article? I see only one realworld statement on the whole page.--Obey the Fist!! 21:02, February 26, 2010 (UTC)
- I'm thinking that it might be best to move this to "Flashback (story device)" to describe the story device and then give examples of the way the story device was used. That would require a bit of a page split since there were also some other flashbacks that were not caused by the condition that The Doctor used. Orb experiences for example. Definitely different cause and circumstance. -- sulfur 22:13, February 26, 2010 (UTC)
Hmmm, good thinking. I was suggesting the merge becuase it seems to imply from the Doctor's remarks that all flashbacks as experienced by Seven were to be hypnagogic. However, the Orb experiences are completely different animal. If no one else wants to do it, I would be more than willing to extract all of the "hypna-" flashbacks and all of the Orb flashbacks. My main point still remains that this reads more like an in-world list of known flashbacks and not like a realworld article. So really, we could have three different articles come out of this (oy vey!)--Obey the Fist!! 13:54, March 1, 2010 (UTC)
- And by rights, we logically should have three separate ones. One for story devices, one for confirmed medical things, and one for "the rest." :) -- sulfur 15:38, March 1, 2010 (UTC)
It looks like (from this list) and with my limited knowledge of the episodes that the only other two flashbacks that can be of the "hypna" typed referenced are from "It's Only a Paper Moon" and "Flashback".--Obey the Fist!! 16:29, March 1, 2010 (UTC)
Seeing that it has been several months, I think that a move to "Flashback (story device)" as sulfur suggested be made. This will cut down on the confusion of where this "flashback" article belongs.--Obey the Fist!! 20:47, September 7, 2010 (UTC)
