2250 vs 2252Edit

This page is currently protected from editing by anonymous and non-sysops due to a user's insistence that Finnegan bullied Kirk in 2252, when Kirk's "plebe" year was actually in 2250. --From Andoria with Love 04:33, 7 September 2006 (UTC)

Perhaps we should compile a reference list which helps us determine this year. Relevant pieces of minutiae that reveal Kirk's age and the dates of these event reveal ("The Deadly Years") he is 34 years old -- this takes place probably not much more than a year before subsequent TOS Season 2 episode "The Trouble with Tribbles", which is in 2268, since we know it is 105 years before DS9: "Trials and Tribble-ations", which is in 2373. this means Kirk was born in 2233 or 2234, based on the time differences mentioned. By 2252 he would be 19 years old and too old to be a "plebe" .. are there any other factors on Kirk's birth? -- Captain M.K.B. 05:26, 7 September 2006 (UTC)
The Historical archive graphic seen in "In a Mirror, Darkly, Part II" states that Kirk was born in 2233. Also, I believe Roddenberry's description of Kirk stated he entered Starfleet Academy (or the space service, at least) at 17, which places that event in 2250. Anyways, I've gone ahead and lifted the protection... for now, anyway. --From Andoria with Love 16:54, 8 September 2006 (UTC)

The New Finnegan? Edit

Burly Cadet #1 Jason Matthew Smith could fit that role. -- 14:58, 11 May 2009 (UTC) Capt. R, (ret.) PSIPHY001

Except that he isn't — Morder 14:59, 11 May 2009 (UTC)
Paul McGillion's barracks leader fits Finnegan more. :) However, since Kirk entered Starfleet Academy five years later than he did in the prime timeline, Finnegan would have graduated by the time Kirk arrived. Remember, when the prime Kirk entered Starfleet, Finnegan was already an upperclassman. By 2255, I'm sure Finnegan had moved on. --From Andoria with Love 18:41, 11 May 2009 (UTC)
I actually thought one of the lankier cadets that was with Cupcake (Burly Cadet #1?) could have been Finnegan. He didn't seem burly when we saw him in TOS. 19:17, 11 May 2009 (UTC)

Split Edit

See Talk:Ruth and Talk:Stella Mudd (android). There's a real Finnegan and an android Finnegan. The real cadet didn't fight Kirk on the Shore Leave Planet, the duplicate did. --LauraCC (talk) 17:13, March 17, 2016 (UTC)

Rename to Disambig Edit

If we're going to refer to the other one as "Finnegan (alternate reality)" will this one revert to "23rd century"?--LauraCC (talk) 17:07, September 15, 2016 (UTC)

I'd lean simply to "Finnegan", which has been the practice elsewhere. Consistently. -- sulfur (talk) 17:35, September 15, 2016 (UTC)
