Great Monetary CollapseEdit

Was this specifically linked to the Exchange in dialogue or is this speculation? Wondering if the reference belongs here and should just be expanded to make the connection clear, or if it should be removed. Logan 5 18:15, 25 Jul 2005 (UTC)

I think it is logic. You could compare the Great Monetary Collapse with the Exchange Krach back in the 1930s, in the USA, although there is no reference to the Exchange in the Homefront episode, it is safe to assume that without the Exchange there would be no Krach. I don't think it's worth a seperate article so the Collapse reference should be fine here. -- Q 19:54, 25 Jul 2005 (UTC)
That's analogy, not logic. I'll have to watch the episode again but I'm not sure the link between the two is obvious because there isn't a mention of the affect on the Exchange. Did the collapse cause a slide or did a slide cause the collapse? And what was the dialogue? Did someone say markets everywhere were crashing or did we make up the term Great Monetary Collapse. Etc. Not saying it definitely doesn't belong, just saying that it needs to have a more direct link to be listed here or it's speculation. Logan 5 20:18, 25 Jul 2005 (UTC)

"The exact structure and rules of the Exchange are unknown, but it does have some similarities to financial market indecies such as Wall Street and may involve the trading of shares in Ferengi companies like Slug-o-Cola."

Speculation. --LauraCC (talk) 20:08, January 22, 2017 (UTC)
