Hi There, this is Evan English of Star Trek: Enterprise just checking in after noticing some updates about me on Memory Alpha. I would like to point out briefly that, while never addressed directly, the scripts of Enterprise and the official star trek magazine "Communicator," often referred to me as character name "Ensign Tanner." Info Removal
Anyone have any idea why references to Mr. English being a background performer are being removed by an anon user? It's happened four times now. As he seems to have posted here before, would it be Mr. English himself? If so, should we let him do so?--31dot 22:29, 6 April 2009 (UTC)
- As I mentioned elsewhere, it's most likely himself or someone who represents him trying to alter his standing - they replaced "uncredited" with "credited" when he clearly was not as well as removing "background" when he clearly was a background performer...probably has a gig or something somewhere and wants to be bigger than he was. Though background might not be necessary...he certainly wasn't anything but. (i can't recall any speaking lines) — Morder 22:38, 6 April 2009 (UTC)

I could take or leave the "background", much in the way you put it, but if he wasn't credited, he wasn't credited, right? We shouldn't post false information.--31dot 22:41, 6 April 2009 (UTC)
- It was me, Evan English. I don't like being referred to as background. I was right there with the main cast. – The preceding unsigned comment was added by 76.174.52.61.
- We had a similar situation with David Orange, who was editing his own page. I think the general consensus from that was that we love to have real-life trek performers joining our community, but that it is not encyclopedic for them to edit their own page. Of course, if there are factual errors or omissions they can be brought up on the talk page. --- Jaz 06:33, 11 June 2009 (UTC)
