I'm wondering if the italicized paragraph at the end should be removed, since the two situations aren't that similar. Q2's scenario was possible to win in the first place, he dumbed it down to make it easier. Kirk made an impossible-to-win program possible to win, he still had to win it. Since we don't know in canon what Kirk did to the program, it is a stretch to say that they are similar situations, IMO. 31dot 20:34, 2 October 2007 (UTC)

I agree it should be removed.– Cleanse 09:04, 12 November 2007 (UTC)

Did so. 31dot 02:03, 13 November 2007 (UTC)

For future reference, here's what was removed. --From Andoria with Love 06:54, 13 November 2007 (UTC)
It should be noted that James T. Kirk reprogrammed the Kobayashi Maru scenario in order to make it possible to win, and received a commendation for original thinking. Q Junior, who did essentially the same thing in this scenario, was vilified. This difference may be explained by the difference in purpose of the scenarios.
