I just noticed this and wondered if anyone else has, but it seems Mr. Bailey's first name was never spoken on screen and come from the credits only. --Alan del Beccio 17:20, 15 March 2007 (UTC)
and then...? Edit
So what happened to this guy? He goes off with little alien Clint Howard... and then? Did anyone ever hear from him again? MonkeyWidget 21:11, 7 July 2009 (UTC)
- What you see in the episode is what you get. There is no real reason for us to have heard from him again, there are billions of humans in the Star Trek universe we never hear from. --OuroborosCobra talk 21:13, 7 July 2009 (UTC)
On a sidenote: Even though we don't see Chekov until Season Two, it is goodbye to Bailey at this stage. So for how long did Bailey stay with Balok (played by the then seven year-old brother of film director Ron Howard)? Well, for quite a considerable amount of time, it seems. The Voyager short story "Ambassador at Large" (published as part of the anthology "Strange New Worlds I") mentions a century of exploring the Alpha and Delta Quadrant alongside Balok before running into Captain Janeway's crew at the dawn of the Dominion War. 220.127.116.11 21:25, January 13, 2016 (UTC)Trek BBS http://www.trekbbs.com/threads/the-2011-12-trek-marathon.134462/
