Images *hotlinked* from other websites. Also, our goal is really to limit our content to Star Trek images and "Star Trek history" in our articles, not the "real world history." The previous edit I reverted really cannot be cited to Trek, nor does it have any Trek significance to the article. --Alan del Beccio 17:29, 3 Jan 2006 (UTC)

M1911 PistolEdit

Why is there an external link in this article to the M1911 Colt (or Browning) pistol? It's an automatic pistol, not the single action revolver already linked and being discussed in the article. --umrguy42 01:08, 12 May 2007 (UTC)

No idea. I've removed it. --OuroborosCobra talk 01:14, 12 May 2007 (UTC)
Probably because of that background note I just removed that was right above it. --Alan 01:18, 12 May 2007 (UTC)
That note was about M1917 revolvers, not M1911 pistols. --OuroborosCobra talk 01:20, 12 May 2007 (UTC)

Westerns Edit

Now I may be wrong, but I'm pretty sure, that at least someone uses Colt.45's in the three westerns (Spectre of the Gun, A First Full of Data's and North Star) could some one clarify that, so I can add it.--General MGD 109 22:01, September 30, 2011 (UTC)

Spectre of the Gun appeared to show 1873 Colt Single Action Army's.
Also, the Air Police would have, should have, and appeared to have standard S&W Model 15 revolvers in .38, which was standard USAF issue. Those certainly don't look like 1917 Smiths. The preceding unsigned comment was added by (talk).
