I don't remember Tarbolde's first name being brought up, where does "Phineas" come from? --TOSrules 10:20, Dec 15, 2004 (CET) Phineas is an old Earth name, which is why I've written a fan fiction story of the poet called 'Standing Still'.In this story Mr.Tarbolde is portrayed as a comely Human who by an awkward circumstance lives on Canopus II.Phineas is the name this character recieved in the Start Trek Encyclopedia and since it goes well with Tarbolde I used it in my story and made him a human.I even chose to illustrate the character as a Human man living among similar but no less alien to him creatures-including a very memorable face.

In 2293, the location of Canopus III, another planet in the system, was labeled in a star chart of the explored Milky Way Galaxy, that was in Captain James T. Kirk's quarters aboard the USS Enterprise-A. (Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country, okudagram)
