Missile complexEdit

I had never seen any episodes of Enterprise until recently; we are renting them from a local video rental place. I have discovered something anomalous to me in regard to "Bozeman." I see that Bozeman is identified as the "missile complex" which was the site of the flight of Cochran's ship "Phoenix," and as a result the site of first contact with the Vulcans, the site of the Warp Five Project, and other significant happenings.

I grew up in Bozeman, and I now live in Great Falls, Montana. I was living here in Great Falls when I saw the movie "First Contact." In that movie, the location of the flight of the Phoenix was identified merely as "a missile base in central Montana." The audience watching the movie all laughed in recognition, as we knew there was only one city in Montana that was the location of a missile base, and that city is Great Falls. Malmstrom AFB, located in Great Falls, has been home to the missions that service the ICBMs in Montana, and to my knowledge there are no silos in southwest Montana, where Bozeman is.

I do not know how "historically accurate" the Star Trek world wants to be; I do know it tries to be internally consistent at any rate. I guess that Bozeman was named in these episodes of Enterprise simply because it is the hometown of one of the writers. I simply wanted to comment on what I perceive as a gross inaccuracy that has unaccountably been perpetuated.

One thing to note. That is 60 years from now, in a universe where Earth had World War III and the Eugenics Wars, it's hard to say what may come of Montana under those conditions. --Alan 17:05, 14 March 2008 (UTC)

Eli HollanderEdit

In TNG script for "A Fistful of Datas" #40276-234, Deputy Alexander originally referred to the holocharacter of Eli Hollander as "The Butcher of Bozeman", where he may have killed over twenty souls (according to the fictional account written up between Worf's boy and Barclay). Perhaps this information should be included in the article? -- anonymous, 26 April 2009
