Regarding the question of the existance of a bowling alley on the orginal "NCC-1701-we don't need no stinking letter suffixes!" Enterprise, it's clearly show on the 14-sheet set of blueprints released around 1975. However, it's shown as only 4 lanes, so it wouldn't have made much of a dance floor.

Those blueprints are non-canon. --OuroborosCobra talk 19:09, 22 March 2007 (UTC)
a part auf this sheet is visible in Star Trek: The Motion Picture. the bowling alley on the USS Enterprise is almost the same canon as the Federation class--Shisma Bitte korrigiert mich 20:25, 22 March 2007 (UTC)

Fan extras filming on the rec deck in ST: TMP saw Lee Cole's directional signage to the ship's bowling alley. If the signage is visible onscreen, it's canonical. That signage is also in the "ST:TMP Peel-Off Graphics Book". (On the cover! The symbols would have appeared inside the stylized left or right arrow-shape featured for other ship locales inside the book). Therin of Andor (talk) 09:20, July 19, 2015 (UTC)
