Targ Blood Edit
I would think that the blood used to make bloodwine would be from targ blood. BiggKwell 04:18, 12 May 2007 (UTC)
- It has never technically been confirmed in canon that it is real blood at all, let alone where the blood comes from. We have seen numerous other animals that Klingons are willing to eat, so if it is blood, it could have come from any of them. --OuroborosCobra talk 04:21, 12 May 2007 (UTC)
Interview source Edit
The only source i can find is http://220.127.116.11/search?q=cache:K80RZX0kUIMJ:fusionreps.com/Blood-Wine/+michael+dorn+bloodwine+punch&hl=en&gl=us&strip=1 — Morder (talk) 01:21, October 24, 2009 (UTC)
- Maybe Alan Sims gives the explanation in the Star Trek Cookbook, section "Alan Sims On How to Recreate Quark's Bar"? – Tom 02:31, September 2, 2010 (UTC)
- Since nothing has come up in the meantime, I have removed the note for now.
- During an interview with Michael Dorn, he explained that blood wine used during filming is actually fruit punch with added red food coloring to darken it.
To add to this further, I have found an interview with Michael Dorn in which he states blood wine was Cranberry Juice. However, he does say "Yes?" at the end of the statement which could imply he was joking. --| TrekFan Open a channel 06:13, January 29, 2014 (UTC)
