Merge proposal Edit
I propose merging this article with Bajoran assault vessel as per reasons stated in:
I really do not see why this is any different...--Sennim 04:59, January 21, 2012 (UTC)
- Support merge, though it should be clarified that the two designs apparently have different crew capacities; this vessel being described as a one-man craft while the other carries more people. We do that with Klingon Bird-of-Prey(where there are a few different classes and sizes). --31dot 10:25, January 21, 2012 (UTC)
- Are we sure there was no change between the uses to suggest a different size, beyond the different crew sizes? It looks, based on our images, that the assault vessel has "window" lights along the side while this one doesn't. Adding lights might not have required modifying the physical model by this point, so we may want to take a closer look at the episodes. If this is merged, the combined page should be renamed to Bajoran starship (or something similar) though, since scout and assault shouldn't be in the title. - Archduk3 20:49, January 23, 2012 (UTC)
I'm reasonably sure that there were no physical alterations performed on the model, based on application of logic. The episodes wherein the "two" classes appeared DS9: "Past Prologue" (scout) and DS9: "A Man Alone" (other) were produced back-to-back, so there was no time to alter the model. Furthermore the picture of the model on Bruce McRea's website shows that the model in Greg Jein's workshop nearing completion in 1992 doesn't differ from the model as pictured in the Christies catalog in 2006, confirming the model hasn't been modified during its lifespan...--Sennim 13:51, January 24, 2012 (UTC)
