Purpose? Edit

Does anyone understand the Romulan's motivation for building their drone-ship? I'm somewhat uncertain, myself. --Defiant | Talk 15:33, 28 Mar 2005 (EST)

I think they wanted to destabilise the region and cause numerous wars. I'm not sure what they hoped to achieve though. Galactic domination perhaps. Its possible that the Romulan Empire isn't as strong as it is by the time of Picard and Sisko so they thought that this would be the best way. -- Rebelstrike2005 15:55, 28 Mar 2005 (EST)
I would've thought that the Romulans would want to stop any alliance of powers that would leave them at a disadvantage in the quadrant. I'm not sure if they're interested in galactic domination, since they're usually depicted (at least in TNG) as mysterious and xenophobic. With technology to make a drone-ship, I imagine they have similar capabilities to the Vulcans (they are an off-shoot). Also, in the ENT episode "Minefield", they definitely have cloaking devices and powerful ships. zsingaya 16:05, 23 Apr 2005 (UTC)
How interested they are in expansion compared to the Klingons and Dominion is unclear but it's established that they like to secretly undermine alliances and provoke hostilities among enemies or potential enemies (such as their attempt to have Governor Vagh killed and Geordi be responsible in "The Mind Eye", and possibly orchestrating a Vulcan invasion of Andoria through V'Las in "Kir'Shara"). - <<unsigned>>

This article is incomplete. It needs to have an aftermath section discussing the what happened after Enterprise was attacked by the drone ship. Jaz 01:57, 3 Oct 2005 (UTC)

Alliance (2154) merge Edit

Basically all the data in this article is included at Babel Crisis, and the alliance was never given a formal name anyway. I propose a merge. - Mitchz95 (talk) 04:58, April 10, 2014 (UTC)

I agree, support a merge. 31dot (talk) 10:30, April 10, 2014 (UTC)
