Astrophysics or astrophysicist? Edit
The article is called "astrophysics" but is mainly a list of astrophysicists. Probably should remove the list to an astrophysicist article and keep/add info about astrophysics here.
- I would tend to agree with you, though with a minor exception. I think all the references about atrophysics specifically should be placed in this current article and any specific mentions of astrophysicists placed on the occupation article. Also, a sentence along the lines of "A scientist who studied astrophysics is called an astrophysicist" or words to that effect. -- TrekFan Open a channel 20:20, January 25, 2011 (UTC)
- Also, we have seperate articles for biology and biologist so why not in this case? -- TrekFan Open a channel 20:22, January 25, 2011 (UTC)
Yes. I think no one would be against it, but it'll be quite a little project. That's probably the only reason why it's the way it is. But the article itself looks unseemly and is hard to read. If nothing else/in the meantime, it should be formatted. I'm not sure how best to do that. — Cepstrum (talk) 20:13, January 26, 2011 (UTC)
- Yeah, I agree. It doesn't look very pleasing on the eye. Why don't you go ahead and create the astrophysicist page since we have similar page for other occupations? -- TrekFan Open a channel 20:15, January 26, 2011 (UTC)
- If you click on the link to astrophysicist and it redirects, it should then say "Redirected from ---" at the top of the page. Click on this to be taken to the page and edit as normal. -- TrekFan Open a channel 20:26, January 26, 2011 (UTC)
Thanks for the help! Looking at the biology/biologist articles, I'm thinking that astrophysics should be on the physics or astronomy pages; it's just a sub-branch (with only a brief description here). The rest of the info should probably go on the astrophysicist page instead, IMO.
I won't be getting to this soon, though.
