The first paragraph is factual, and to my knowledge the second is in agreement with Star Trek canon -- N. H. B.

Parts of it are validated in a LCARS display in "Night Terrors". You can check out this screen cap from EAS 69.158.60.218 03:29, 5 Sep 2005 (UTC)

Antimatter[]

I am not sure about this, but I think that atoms contain both matter and antimatter particles, since they found antimatter by knocking atoms apart. The Deterium would have to be only half of this. I am no expert at this, I just want to put it to question. There is a NOVAscienceNOW podcast that talks about it entitled "Alien Encounters and Antimatter" which might yeild some information

You might want to try reading some clear, textual notations about the science of antimatter -- try starting with Wikipedia:Antimatter.
Antiparticles like positrons are contained in "normal matter" congregations like our solar system -- but they have never, to current scientific knowledge, formed antimatter naturally. -- Captain Mike K. Barteltalk

Someone needs to sort out what's canon and what's not in this article, and integrate references into the body of the article to support what remains. -- Renegade54 23:13, 16 March 2008 (UTC)

The okudagram at the top of the page adequately explains everything contained in the article. What, in your opinion, needs further references? 70.172.214.70 22:26, June 17, 2013 (UTC)
