TMP in 2273?[]

Several pages in MA including this one places TMP in 2273, only a few of them have a disclaimer that this might not be true, while some more accurately place the film and events from it in the "mid-2270s". As far as I can determine the year 2273 is only the apocryphal dating. shouldn't we just use the mid-2270s everywhere as our canonical dating for the events in the film? --Pseudohuman (talk) 16:52, August 1, 2012 (UTC)

Star Trek Online date for TMP.[]

Apparently, in addition to Pocket Books, a recent timeline infographic release by the devs of Star Trek Online also places The Motion Picture in this year. Though it's ambiguously canon, it's still a major source, so should this page make note of this alongside the Pocket Book information? Wixelt (talk) 10:33, September 17, 2016 (UTC)

If you can link to the info it can be added to the bg info. - Archduk3 10:52, September 17, 2016 (UTC)

I couldn't work out how to put a reference link in the background info box. Will look into how to do so and then complete the edit. Wixelt (talk) 12:34, September 17, 2016 (UTC)

Made addition of reference. If the way I have done it or the reference itself is not up to standard, let me know Wixelt (talk) 13:01, September 17, 2016 (UTC)

See Cite your sources and the Resource policy FAQ for how to use inline references, as the reference tags should generally only ever be used for notes inside tables. Also, see talk pages for maintaing your indent. - Archduk3 13:21, September 17, 2016 (UTC)
I'll keep that in mind in future. Thanks for the help - Wixelt (talk) 13:32, September 17, 2016 (UTC)
