In regards to the following:

References: Sponsorship ("The Apple"); Finney ("Court Martial"); and Finnegan and Ruth ("Shore Leave").
This year is a compromise between 2250 (Star Trek Chronology) and 2252, a date fifteen years before "Shore Leave". According to "The Corbomite Maneuver" and "Obsession", Lieutenant Kirk's first assignment upon graduation from the Academy is as a navigator aboard the Farragut in 2255. Assuming that the length of the officer program is the same in both the 23rd and 24th centuries, then Kirk started four years earlier in 2251.

I'm not totally against this, but where was this compromise reached? I don't recall seeing any discussion on this, so it would probably be wise to discuss this either here or at Talk:James T. Kirk about Kirk's timeline. --From Andoria with Love 05:26, 23 March 2007 (UTC)
