M1911 pistol merge Edit

This is the same weapon as the .45 automatic. As the term from DS9: "Badda-Bing, Badda-Bang" was used onscreen, this article should be merged. Kennelly (talk) 14:47, March 13, 2016 (UTC)

Colt M1911A1 Edit

Well, it appears this is ALSO the same weapon as the .45 automatic. Kennelly (talk) 21:26, March 13, 2016 (UTC)

Support for merger. When I did a search for .45 automatic at Wikipedia, I was directed to the page for the Colt M1911A1. I did a further search, and I found this description: "The M1911 Colt .45 Automatic Pistol is one of the most successful designs in the history of firearms. The M1911 and M1911A1 pistols served as the primary U.S. military sidearm for about 80 years through two World Wars, Korea, Vietnam and countless other engagements." .45 Automatic Pistol Here is another page about the Colt M1911A1 – M1911 and M1911A1 .45 Automatic Pistol--Memphis77 (talk) 01:03, March 14, 2016 (UTC)
