T'Pel was the wife of Sasak and an ancestor of Selek, who was a distant cousin of Sarek. This claim was made by Spock while deceitfully introducing himself as Selek to Sarek. (TAS: "Yesteryear")
Selek was, in reality, the identity assumed by Spock when he traveled to his past, through the Guardian of Forever, in order to save himself from otherwise being killed by the le-matya. While the gender of T'Pel was not specified, two other T'Pels were known, both women.
