Susanna Thompson

Susanna Thompson (born 27 January 1958; age 66) is an actress who played several Star Trek characters, with her largest role being the Borg Queen in Star Trek: Voyager. She has also appeared in Star Trek: Deep Space Nine and Star Trek: The Next Generation.

She discusses the character of Lenara Kahn and one of Star Trek's most controversial episodes, "Rejoined", in the DS9 Season 4 DVD's special features.

Thompson earned her undergraduate degree in drama at San Diego State University. She is also skilled in aikido and stage combat.

In 2009, Thompson starred on the prime-time television drama Kings. Previously, Thompson appeared in several television movies, including The Reunion - America's Dream, The Homestead, and A Promise Kept: The Oksana Baiul Story. Her television credits include NYPD Blue, Chicago Hope, The X-Files, and Michael Hayes. Her best known television credit was playing divorced mom Karen Sammler on the ABC series Once And Again from 1999-2002. (Sammler's ex-husband, Rick, was played by William O. Campbell.) In 2006, she appeared as a guest star in an episode of CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, alongside William Sadler. That same year she guest starred on Without A Trace with Enrique Murciano. She also appeared as the recurring character Lieutenant Colonel Hollis Mann on the CBS series NCIS.

Thompson also had roles in the films Little Giants (1994, with Courtney Peldon), Random Hearts, Ghosts of Mississippi, and When a Man Loves a Woman.
