(written from a Production point of view)
Susan Lewis is an actress who worked as stand-in and photo double for Roxann Dawson throughout the first through sixth seasons of Star Trek: Voyager. She started as a background actress on Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country and a recurring background actress on Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, frequently seen as a Bajoran, and then moved to Voyager in 1994. Lewis received no credit for her work, except for the fourth season episode "Demon" where she was credited as "Transporter Technician".
Her costume as Mikhal traveler from the episode "Darkling" was sold off on the It's A Wrap! sale and auction on eBay as well as a Roxann Dawson photo double costume worn by Lewis which was previously worn by stuntwoman Spice Williams in the DS9 episode "Dax". [1] [2] Lewis was also one of the stand-ins for Donna Murphy in Star Trek: Insurrection along Margaret Flores. She is the mother of fellow background actress and stand-in Shauna Lewis.
Lewis had supporting roles in the films Cocaine: One Man's Seduction (1983, with Denise Crosby and camera operator Jonathan West) and Action U.S.A. (1989) and Coneheads (1993, with Michael McKean, Barry Kivel, Jason Alexander, Cameron, and Arvo Katajisto).
She also appeared in episodes of Dynasty (1987, with Joan Collins, Robert Symonds, and Matthew Faison) and Cheers (1992, with Kirstie Alley, Kelsey Grammer, Jennifer Gatti, Brian Demonbreun, David Paul Christian, Gunnel Eriksson, Don Bennett, Leland Sun, Curt Truman, Robert Cox, Tory Christopher, and Gary Hunter)
