Susan Diol (born 25 May 1962; age 56) is an actress who portrayed Carmen Davila in the Star Trek: The Next Generation fifth season episode "Silicon Avatar" in 1991 and later Doctor Danara Pel in the Star Trek: Voyager episodes "Lifesigns" and "Resolutions". Her costume from "Lifesigns" was sold off on the It's A Wrap! sale and auction on eBay and was later re-used by Lise Simms in the Voyager episode "Year of Hell, Part II".  Diol filmed her scenes for "Silicon Avatar" on Wednesday 7 August 1991 on location at the Golden Oak Ranch.
Born in Marquette, Michigan, Diol played Beth Calavicci in Quantum Leap with Scott Bakula, Dean Stockwell, and Norman Large in 1990 and reprised the role of Al's wife in the series' 1993 final episode. Other television series Diol guest-starred in include Baywatch (1990, with Monte Markham and Jeff Lester), Seinfeld (1991, starring Jason Alexander and with Roy Brocksmith), Party of Five (1994, with Scott Grimes, Cari Shayne, and David Drew Gallagher), Wings (1995, starring Steven Weber), Diagnosis: Murder (1997, with Mark Kiely, Murray Rubinstein, Jim Jansen, and Spike Silver), The Ellen Show (2002), Without a Trace (2006, starring Enrique Murciano), and Desperate Housewives (2006, starring Teri Hatcher, Mark Moses, Brenda Strong, and Alfre Woodard and with Bill Bolender).
More recent credits include guest roles in episodes of NCIS: Naval Criminal Investigative Service (2006), Cold Case (2009, with Sam Hennings), and CSI: Crime Scene Investigation (2011, with Wallace Langham and Don McManus). She also appeared in the television drama Safe Harbor (2009, with Jim O'Heir and Jimmy Ortega) and wrote, directed, and starred in the short film The Eastern/Western Singer, produced by her production company ZenGleam Filmz.
