When Malcolm Reed and Trip Tucker were waiting for rescue in their disabled shuttlepod, Malcolm deridingly told Trip that North Americans must read nothing but comic books. Trip replied that Superman was layered with subtext on top of subtext. (ENT: "Shuttlepod One")
