Stokaline was an injectable multiple vitamin compound.
In 2268, Dr. McCoy used it on Spock as a "treatment" for the Vulcan's faked illness (a flare-up of Rigelian Kassaba fever) in the effort to regain control of the USS Enterprise from invading Kelvans. Later, Spock used his need for another injection as an excuse for him and McCoy to leave James T. Kirk and Kelinda alone together.(TOS: "By Any Other Name").
