Steven H. Wilson is a science fiction author based out of Baltimore. He wrote scripts for three of the DC Comics Star Trek Original Series comics. He also wrote for the Warlord series. In 1993, he helped found the Farpoint Convention. Since then, he has written and directed a series of radio plays titled The Arbiter Chronicles, produced by his company, Prometheus Radio Theatre. George Takei and Robin Curtis have also participated in this project with him. In 2006, he published his first novel, Taking Liberty, the first novel tie-in to his radio plays.

More recently, he wrote a script for a radio play for the 40th anniversary of Star Trek based on the last voyage of Captain Sulu on the USS Excelsior titled Star Trek - Living in the Shadows, but it has not been performed to date.
