The barracks leader

The barracks leader was a Human commander at Starfleet Academy. In 2258 of an alternate reality, when Earth received a distress call from Vulcan, the barracks officer was charged with informing the cadets of their assigned starship. After completing the announcement, he was approached by James T. Kirk, who wanted to know why his name had not been called. The barracks leader informed Kirk that he was on academic suspension until the Starfleet Academy Council made a ruling regarding Kirk's reprogramming of the Kobayashi Maru scenario. (Star Trek)

The barracks leader was played by Paul McGillion.

Cadets (2250s)

These Starfleet cadets served in Starfleet in 2258 of an alternate reality.

Some of them watched the hearing of James T. Kirk at the Starfleet Academy in which he was confronted with Spock and his try to cheat at the Kobayashi Maru scenario.

Later they were gathered and informed about the attack of Vulcan by the Romulan Nero and his starship Narada. Then they were assigned to several starships. (Star Trek)

Most of the cadets were played by background performers who received no credit for their appearance.
The alien cadet portrayed by Jeff Chase later appeared aboard Enterprise as a crewmember in the torpedo bay. He was dubbed "Dexter" during the production by the crew to distinguish him from the other aliens. A behind the scenes picture of him was later used as card #7 "Cadet Dexter" for the virtual collectible card battle game Star Trek: Rivals.

Councilmembers

These Starfleet officers were part of the Starfleet Academy council in 2258 of an alternate reality. They attended the hearing for cadet James T. Kirk and later also his promotion. (Star Trek)

According to the IMDb, Rico E. Anderson's character is named Captain Kelley Bogel. There was also an unconfirmed statement that Errik Tustenuggee's character was Captain Cartwright.

Shipyard Bar cadets

Starfleet cadets at the Shipyard Bar in Riverside, Iowa bound for Starfleet Academy in 2255.

Burly cadets

These three Starfleet Academy cadets got into a fight with James T. Kirk after the fourth of them, "Cupcake", tried to protect Uhura. Kirk flirted with Uhura and the cadets were unhappy with this. During the following bar fight they've hit Kirk several times and bruised his face. Their fight was stopped when Captain Christopher Pike piped and sent all visitors out. (Star Trek)

All three cadets were played by stuntmen and only Marcus Young received credit for his part.

Shipyard bar Cadet 13

Short cadet

This female cadet stood out as comparatively very short compared to other bar visitors.

Another unusually short cadet can be seen outside Starfleet Academy when Kirk and McCoy exit discussing the Kobayashi Maru test. While neither performer can be seen clearly enough to be certain, these might be the same.

Shuttle officer

Shuttle officer

A shuttle officer

This shuttle officer initially refused to allow James T. Kirk to board the shuttlecraft Gilliam, bound for the USS Enterprise, as the cadet, though visibly quite ill with an infection from a Melvaran mud flea bite, was on academic suspension at the time. He relented, however, after Doctor Leonard McCoy insisted that, while Kirk was not cleared for duty, he was, and, as his attending physician, his authority granted by Starfleet medical code to remain with a patient in his care (in truth McCoy had infected Kirk himself for the express purpose of invoking this regulation) overrode Kirk's grounding. (Star Trek)

This shuttle officer was played by Alex Nevil. In the novelization of the film, the officer thinks to himself that he has never seen a cadet who looked as bad as Kirk did on the ramp up to the shuttle.

Teachers and instructors

These Humans worked as teachers and instructors at the Starfleet Academy in the 2250s. They were present during James T. Kirk's hearing and also when Kirk was promoted to captain. Some of them coordinated the cadet assignments in Hangar 1 after the distress call from Vulcan. (Star Trek)

All teachers and instructors were played by background performers who received no credit for their appearance.
Richard Krzemien also appeared in this group.

Test administrators

These test administrators were Human members of Starfleet who supervised Starfleet Academy's Kobayashi Maru scenario in 2258 of the alternate reality. They oversaw James T. Kirk's third attempt at taking the test and were baffled by his carefree, whimsical attitude towards the simulation. They were further confounded when, after a brief interruption in the simulation's computer, Kirk beat the simulation, becoming the first cadet to do so. Unbeknown to them, Kirk had installed a subroutine into the computer, altering the conditions of test to make it possible to win. (Star Trek)
