Planet housing Starbase 73

Starbase 73 was a Federation starbase administered by Starfleet. The starbase was located on a planet.

In 2365, the USS Enterprise-D stopped at the starbase prior to its visit to the Endicor system. William Riker bought some 'Owon eggs here. (TNG: "Time Squared")

Later that year, the Enterprise-D returned to this starbase where it was assigned to investigate a distress signal emanating from the Ficus sector. Its Starbase Research division was able to discover that it was an SOS. At the time, the facility was commanded by Admiral Moore. (TNG: "Up The Long Ladder")

In 2367, the Enterprise visited this starbase, following the deaths of K'mpec and K'Ehleyr. While there, Sergey and Helena Rozhenko met the starship and took Alexander back to Earth, where he could be cared for. (TNG: "Reunion")
