Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home - Director's Series was the second of two Betamax releases of Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home, and was one of two films released at the time as part of Paramount's Director's Series, the other being Fatal Attraction. [1] The first Betamax release was the theatrical version of the film.

The packaging used was identical to that of the VHS release, with only a "Beta" sticker applied to the cover to set it apart.
