I managed a market research firm at the time called "Cole/Green/Groups" in Lomita, CA. We tested this game for months in a Beta version. For the 2600 the Enterprise was basically a circle with two lines coming off the back and gameplay was similar to Asteroids. (Tony Blass)

Star Trek III: The Search for Spock was an unreleased game from 1983 for the Atari 2600 and the Atari 5200 by Sega. It was announced at the 1983 Winter Consumer Electronics Show. Sega, however, was hit hard by the video game industry crash of 1983, and the game was never released. It is unknown if any work was actually completed on this game, although artwork for the game shows the title as Star Trek II: In Search of Spock. [1]
