The Star Trek Commemorative Checker Set was produced by The Franklin Mint for Star Trek's 25th anniversary in 1991, although this set came out in 1993.
This was a standard set of checkers produced in pewter and plated in either 24-karat gold or sterling silver. The gold checkers depicted the USS Enterprise on one side and the Enterprise Command Insignia on the other. The silver checkers depicted the Klingon D7-class battle cruiser on one side and the Klingon "Trefoil" insignia on the other.
The set was sold in a special collector's case, and either came separately to play on the board of the Star Trek Commemorative Chess Set or with its own round glass checker board, modeled in similar style to the aforementioned chess set's board.
