The Star Trek 25th Anniversary Special was a television special that originally aired during the week of 28 September 1991 in syndicated markets. It was hosted by William Shatner and Leonard Nimoy and featured interviews with Gene Roddenberry, DeForest Kelley, George Takei, John Tesh, Walter Koenig, Nichelle Nichols, Ricardo Montalban, and fan club president Dan Madsen, among others.

It was a ninety-minute special that aired over a two-hour time slot. Prior to the special airing, a Star Trek Viewers Choice Marathon aired in most markets. Some markets aired the full version of the documentary, while others aired an abbreviated version.

The show featured clips from the Original Series and the Next Generation and showed behind the scenes clips from both Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home and Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country. LeVar Burton also gave a brief tour of NASA's Space Camp.
