Background

  • Based on elements of the story and cover, the mission takes place between the episodes "The Neutral Zone" and "The Child". The cover includes two noticeable changes made between those episodes (Worf and Geordi La Forge wear gold uniforms) while omitting two others (Dr. Crusher is still CMO, and Riker does not have a beard.)
