For millenia on ends, the Hubrin and the Metar are rivals lacked in a millenia old war, which raged across more than a thousand systems. One of the causes of the long running battle was that the Metar are able to evolve: they can specialize whenever the situation urges them to, thus genetically modify their body forms over a SINGLE generation. Due to this ability, the Hubrin got at a certain point overpowerd, and they were on the verge of total defeat. In desparation the Hubrin built a weapon, called an Anomaly Device, that, when activated, ripped a part of the fabric of space and time, trapping the Metar in an alternate dimension. If the Melak didn't reopen it, both the Hubrin and the Metar would have safely stayed in dormant, maybe forever... Within that dimensin the Metar got caught in, their energy link to normal space was cut off, so they were forced to hibernate or die. They sought refuge in vast stasis fields, and they created the Taubat, a race of genetic slaves, to maintain these fields. The first encounter of the Metar by the three major races occured on the planet AP173.B, where the Taubat, according to the Klingons, tried to escalate the Metar-Hubrin war by activating an ancient anti-Hubrin weapon, which turned out to be the Metar themselves. Many casualities fell on all three major races, the U.S.S. Explorer crashed on Al Fadir, while the entire Klingon Third Fleet was completely annihilated by Bursai IV. Forming an alliance with each other ánd the Hubrin, the Federation, the Klingons and the Romulans created another Anomaly Device, and that one sent the Metar worlds back to the Anomaly Space for good, ultimately defeating the Metar.

'''The Units of the Metar'''
  +
''The Metar Bur'' The Metar Bur is very quick and agile, and can attack in large numbers. The Bur can waste colonies with ease if no one keeps an eye on all sides of the colony. Make sure you have defenses ready on ALL sides of the colony, to intercept this guy.
  +
  +
''The Metar Dea'' Also an agile unit. Its phaser is more powerful than the one of the Bur, however, it takes more time to recharge. The Dea is also slower than the Bur. The Advanced Dea can blind your visible radius in the game, however, your units and defenses will remain unaffected.
  +
  +
''The Metar Sniper'' Here's another agile unit. It's powerfol, and capable of attacking from longer distances. The Advanced Sniper can be very lethal if it isn't detected, so make sure a decent defense force is present to defend the colony.
  +
  +
''The Metar Yat'' Here's another agile unit. Not only is it capable of attacking bases, it also supplies a shield generating system to make its comrades survival chances bigger. The shield generator is active by the Advanced Yat, and it can fire its phaser at quicker rates, even quicker than the Bur can!
  +
  +
''The Metar Nak'' This slow unit is one of the photon torpedo launchers of the Metar. Its Advanced version is very much the same, just a little larger and quicker than its predecessor.
  +
  +
''The Metar Ras'' This is the most powerful warrior of all Metar. Capable of firing photon torpedos with a faster fire rate than ant torpedo launcher and, when ignored, can waste colonies in a matter of minutes! Its usual job is to control every action in the colony and tactics on the battlefield. Make sure you have a good defensive ring of phaser/disruptor and photon turrets or a good colonial defence force, a high shield generating system and a decent power supply ready when one of these 'Bad Daddies' approaches. Only the Klingon Disruptor Battery can survive an impact of ONE of the torpedo's of the Ras with a BASIC shield coverage.

Information

Al Fadir

A planet in the Al-Deta system, situated in the Tabula Rasa. On this planet, the mission Cry Havoc, from the game Star Trek: New Worlds takes place. After the emerge of the Metar on AP173.B, the Federation, Klingons and the Romulans had yet to encounter another Metar force. The Klingon colony was estabilished in the expansion, following the player's victory on the planet Taal (Klingon mission 1). However, that early succes made them on Al Fadir careless. Thinking of the glory the minerals would bring blinded them to danger, as they built the colony amidst a circle of stone monoliths. The Klingons there investigated them, and found them to be inherit. However, after a Klingon attack, the Metar emerged rapidly and the Klingon colony was obliterated, and the colonies of the Federation and the Romulans fell too. The three races had to relocate their colonies on the side of the Metars territory, and the player must complete a mission of one of the three sides: The Federation wants to save personnel from a captured Klingon science station and recover data from their own science station, which is also occupied by the Metar. The Romulans want to capture the Klingon Arsenal to configure the anti-matter containment system, while the Klingons wants to retake their colony at all costs, and to eliminate all Metar and Taubat presence on the planet. On this planet lays also the wreckage of the U.S.S. Explorer.

Metar

The Metar is an extremily hostile race, first encountered by the Federation, the Klingons and Romulans shortly after the events of the Star Trek movie The Final Frontier. Their goal is simply to conquer every world, and annihilate everyone and everything that tries to stop them.

There is nothing known about the Metar, but later in the game, the Hubrin will explain everything to the United Federation of Planets, the Klingons and the Romulans this:

The Units of the Metar The Metar Bur The Metar Bur is very quick and agile, and can attack in large numbers. The Bur can waste colonies with ease if no one keeps an eye on all sides of the colony. Make sure you have defenses ready on ALL sides of the colony, to intercept this guy.

The Metar Dea Also an agile unit. Its phaser is more powerful than the one of the Bur, however, it takes more time to recharge. The Dea is also slower than the Bur. The Advanced Dea can blind your visible radius in the game, however, your units and defenses will remain unaffected.

The Metar Sniper Here's another agile unit. It's powerfol, and capable of attacking from longer distances. The Advanced Sniper can be very lethal if it isn't detected, so make sure a decent defense force is present to defend the colony.

The Metar Yat Here's another agile unit. Not only is it capable of attacking bases, it also supplies a shield generating system to make its comrades survival chances bigger. The shield generator is active by the Advanced Yat, and it can fire its phaser at quicker rates, even quicker than the Bur can!

The Metar Nak This slow unit is one of the photon torpedo launchers of the Metar. Its Advanced version is very much the same, just a little larger and quicker than its predecessor.

The Metar Ras This is the most powerful warrior of all Metar.

Tabula Rasa

The Tabula Rasa is an anomaly, created by a Romulan vessel, the Melak, while it was conducting experiments, called 'Project Shiva' in the Neutral Zone, in the game Star Trek: New Worlds. The Federation Starship USS Explorer was sent to intercept them, but a Klingon D-7 vessel encountered the Melak first. However, the Romulans continued conducting their experiments, firing a torpedo an a test object. It exploded with an incredible force, causing a rupture in time and space, making planets appear from out of nowhere. The Melak and its entire crew was destroyed due to a gravity field the Melak got caught in. The Federation, the Klingons and the Romulans immediately sent out fleets to colonize the new worlds: The Federation to study the worlds and its inhabitants, The Klingons to simply conquer the worlds to gather minerals to increase their economy, and the Romulans wanted these worlds, because they claim that the worlds are theirs by all means. However, the three major races encounter new and powerful races: The Hubrin, the Taubat and the Metar. You must take control of either the Federation, or the Klingons or the Romulans to construct their bases, defenses, and for the fight of survival.

The Anomaly Device and the Containment Pillar

This was the horrible weapon used by the Hubrin to seal the Metar in an anomalis pocket of sealed space. Due to the actions of the Melak, the Metar escaped, and the Metar-Hubrin war rages on, involving the United Federation of Planets, the Klingons and the Romulans with it. For the survival of their peoples and territories, the Federation, the Klingons and the Romulans were forced to work together along with the Hubrin to build another Anomaly Device, and with the technologies of the three races the Device had enough power to send the Metar worlds back to where they came from. However, the device itself could devastate the Alpha Quadrant, so a Containment Field Device had to be created to prevent that certain planets, such as Earth, Qo'noS and Romulus would be annihilated. The three pillars, situated on F'Thorc A, Bezouk II and Tybalt Major successfully threw a cordon around the core Metar worlds, guaranteeing the safety of the Untied Federation of Planets, the Klingon Empire and the Romulan Star Empire. The new Device was launched on the Metar's homeworld, Cadimus II.

The Hubrin

The Hubrin are an ancient and powerful race. They live in fortresses, which are defended at all costs. The Klingons encountered such a fortress on Taal, but that one was barely occupied. The Klingons encountered the race itself on the planet Orgolio, and they soon discovered the horrifying power of the race, as the entire Klingon colony there suffered heavy attacks. The Federation and the Romulans were also present on Orgolio, and even they found out that the Hubrin are deadly opponents... that is, until the Metar were released. Dispite the fact that the Federation had to fend off both the Hubrin and the Metar on the planet Durac Iota, the Hubrin finally sought allegiance with the three major races, to create the Anomaly Device.
