The Stakoron are an alien species from the Gamma Quadrant. One of the planets in the Stakoron system is Stakoron II.
In 2369, the (temporary) Grand Nagus Quark was informed that his predecessor had opened negotiations with them on behalf of the Ferengi, hoping to obtain mizinite ore. However, this was likely untrue, as the two comrades that informed him of this news were actually plotting to kill him in the airlock (DS9: "The Nagus")
