St. John Talbot
St. John Talbot was the Federation representative at the "Planet of Galactic Peace", Nimbus III, in 2287. Talbot, along with a Romulan and Klingon representative, were based in Paradise City. They would be taken "hostage" by Sybok to draw the attention of their respective governments in his attempt to acquire access to a starship. (Star Trek V: The Final Frontier)
- Talbot was played by actor David Warner. Talbot was presented as a drunk, broken man, very unhappy to be stationed to the Nimbus III. The STV novelization goes into some detail about his backstory, stating that he was a once-prominent diplomat who, in the aftermath of a disastrous diplomatic fiasco, fell out of favor and turned to drinking. The character speaks with an English accent, suggesting that he may be English as actor David Warner is.
