Lieutenant Spinelli was a male Human Starfleet officer in the 23rd century. He served in the command division aboard the USS Enterprise in 2267 under the command of Captain James T. Kirk, during the historic five-year mission. He was one of the ship's helmsmen.
That same year, Spinelli was one of a few Enterprise officers privileged to dine with the late 20th century tyrant Khan Noonien Singh. Spinelli was also among the crew trapped on the bridge when Khan attempted to take over the ship. Spinelli passed out after the life support to the bridge was cut, and was seated in a prisoner's row, forced to watch Khan's murderous spectacle on the viewscreen. (TOS: "Space Seed")
Lt. Spinelli was portrayed by actor Blaisdell Makee.
He was mentioned in the comics story, "For Whom the Bell Tolls", part of DC Comics' The Modala Imperative series.
