Solomon Burke, Jr. is an actor and musician who portrayed the Starfleet crewman Billy throughout the four year run of Star Trek: Enterprise. Burke, Jr. received no credit for his appearances until his final performance in the series finale "These Are the Voyages..." where he was credited as "Ensign" in the end credits. Behind the scenes footage of Burke, Jr. can be seen on the ENT Season 1 DVD special "Enterprise Outtakes". He was also featured in an extended deleted scene in sickbay from the episode "Minefield".

Burke is the son of Grammy Award-winning Rock and Roll Hall of Famer Solomon Burke (1940–2010), a legendary soul and blues musician. [1] In addition to acting, Burke has followed his father's footsteps and performs as a musician at various venues around Los Angeles, California, with his bands "The Position", who recently released their second album, and "Vanity Fair". [2]

Besides his appearances on Enterprise, Burke's other credits include featured parts in the thriller Collateral Damage (2001, with Rick Worthy, Raymond Cruz, Ethan Dampf, Clint Lilley, Marianne Lewis, and Manny Perry) in the drama White Oleander (2002, with John Billingsley, Biff Yeager, James Lashly, Stephen Root, and Scott L. Treger).

Following Star Trek: Enterprise, Burke, Jr. appeared in episodes of What About Brian (2006, with John Fleck, Amanda Foreman, and Bahni Turpin), United States of Tara (2011), Love Bites (2011, with Greg Grunberg), NCIS: Los Angeles, and Sons of Anarchy. More recently, he appeared in the horror comedy Freaks of Nature (2015, with Rachael Harris, Pat Healy, Momo Yashima, and Derek Mears), the comedy Sun Dogs (2017, with Fernando Chien, Al Burke, Kenneth Beck, and Larry Krask), and the musical Revival! (2017).
