Sofie Calderon (born 22 September 1974; age 49) is an actress who appeared as a science division crewman in the Star Trek: Enterprise first season episode "Broken Bow". As a background performer she received no credit for this appearance and was identified by the call sheet for the episode. Calderon shot her scene in the mess hall on 20 June 2001 on Paramount Stage 8.
Calderon earned her BA from the University in San Antonio and studied acting at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts and under coaches Ivana Chubbuck, Larry Moss, and Jennifer Rincon. She performed in stage plays such as "MacBeth", "Blade to the Heat", "Lysistrata", and on the CBS "Diversity Showcase".
She appeared in the fantasy comedy Being John Malkovich (1999, with Willie Garson, Richard Fancy, Patti Tippo, Andy Dick, and Winona Ryder), the short films The King (2002, with Jenna Z. Wilson) and Long Story Short (2004), the comedy Breaking the Fifth (2004, with Frank Langella), the comedy Outta Sync (2006, with Mark Chaet and Cecelia Specht), and in the drama The God Project (2008, with Troy Brenna and Damon Williams).
Guest roles include the television series Strong Medicine (2003, with Michelle Horn), The Shield (2004, with Michael Jace, Jay Karnes, Benito Martinez, and Rif Hutton), Criminal Minds (2007, with Billy Brown and Kenneth Meseroll), and Heroes (2009, with Cristine Rose and Jon Donahue).
More recently she portrayed Celia in the drama Xander Cohen (2010) on which she also worked as producer. The film features Trek performers Paul Dooley, Troy Brenna, and Susan Pingleton. She also appeared in the pilot episode of the drama series Rex Is Not Your Lawyer (2010, with Julia Nickson and Arne Starr).
