Sobras was a Delta Quadrant which held a Kazon-Pommar settlement. This settlement included a bar and an underground prison.
Neelix had visited Sobras before joining USS Voyager, and had a Kazon acquaintance named Tersa there. In 2372, Voyager passed near the planet, and it was decided that Neelix would travel there to attempt to open talks to regarding an alliance between Voyager and the Pommar.
In 2372, a conference between several Kazon sects, the crew of the USS Voyager, and a Trabe representative was hosted on Sobras. However, the conference was ended prematurely when the Trabe unsuccessfully tried to assassinate the present First Majes. (VOY: "Alliances")
According to the Star Trek: Star Charts (p. 84), Sobras was located in the Sobras (Takrit) system. This was a binary star system. Sobras A was a Class F star. Sobras B was a Class G star. The USS Voyager visited this system on stardate 49337.
