Sisters of Hope Infirmary

The entry to the Sisters of Hope Infirmary

The Sisters of Hope Infirmary was a hospital in San Francisco on Earth in the 19th century. At one time a severe cholera epidemic crowded the wards of the Infirmary.

The hospital's conditions and treatments were primitive, though modern by contemporary standards, and the death of patients was sufficiently common that it provided cover to Devidians who were murdering Humans for sustenance. Doctors at the facility tended toward arrogance and nurses were not encouraged to voice their opinions, even when borne out by the facts of a particular case.

Among the personnel of the hospital in 1893 was Dr. Apollinaire. (TNG: "Time's Arrow, Part II")
