Sherbourne was an engineer serving aboard the USS Enterprise-D in 2367, during the Borg encounter. Sherbourne worked on repairs with Reginald Barclay following the Enterprise's unsuccessful attempt to destroy the Borg cube using a burst of energy from the deflector dish.
