Seth Ayott (born 15 March 1977; age 47) is an actor who had a featured part as shuttle ensign in Star Trek Into Darkness.

Personal[]

Ayott was born in West Townsend, Massachusetts and attended the University of Massachusetts at Amherst where he graduated with a BA in Film/Acting. He performed in several stage plays in the Boston area before moving to Los Angeles, California, where he Wykowski in Neil Simon's Tony Award winning play "Biloxi Blues". Also in L.A., he continued to study acting with coaches Howard Fine, Ivana Chubbuck, and Jean-Louis Rodrigues.

Television[]

Following his work in the play "Biloxi Blues", Ayott was cast as Larry in the ER episode "Beyond Repair" in 2002. The episode also features Star Trek alumni Lily Mariye and Lisa Vidal. Further television work includes guest roles in CSI: Miami (2006, along with Mark Rolston, Michael B. Silver, Cyia Batten, and Scottie Thompson), History's Mysteries (2006), and Burning Hollywood (2009) as well as the television comedy Alive N' Kickin' (2007).

More recently, he appeared in episodes of Zach Stone Is Gonna Be Famous (2013, with Amy Benedict and Thomas F. Wilson) and It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia (2013, with Jessica Collins) and in the television pilot for the fantasy series We Are Angels (2013).

Film[]

Ayott starred in the short films Notoriety (2002, with Marci Brickhouse), Destiny's Child (2003), and John Doe and the Anti (2006). Other film work includes the comedy Walking the Walk (2005), the action drama Koreatown (2007, with Jon Donahue), the crime comedy Trim (2010, with Michael Pataki, Ethan Phillips, and Mark La Mura), and the short drama No Road to Follow (2011).

More recently, he worked on two films starring Chris Pine. He first worked with Pine on the 2010 drama Small Town Saturday Night, which also featured Damara Reilly, Robert Pine, and Scott St. Blaze, and more recently on the action thriller Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit (2014), produced by Dana Goldberg and Tommy Harper. Ayott also completed filming on the comedy The Ones (2013, with Robert Easton, Jim Nieb, and Patrick Barnitt).
