Display of duotronic sensor array in use
A sensor array is a device where a group of sensors are combined as in, for example, the forward sensor array on Template:ShipClass starships. Subprocessors are part of a sensor array. (TNG: "The Game")
The USS Enterprise used a duotronic sensor array. This ship, and its fellow Template:ShipClass ships, were equipped with two sensor arrays. They were located on the top and bottom of the primary hull. (TNG: "Datalore"; DS9: "Trials and Tribble-ations")
