Scott Trost (born 28 January 1954; age 70) is an actor who appeared in three episodes of Star Trek: The Next Generation and Star Trek: Deep Space Nine.

Beside his appearances on Star Trek, Trost had guest parts in episodes of TV 101 (1989, with Leon Russom and Cristine Rose), Dragnet (1990), Adam 12 (1990, with Peter Parros), and General Hospital (1991, with Rosie Malek-Yonan). He also appeared in By Dawn's Early Light (1990, with Kieran Mulroney, Nicolas Coster, Ken Jenkins, Randal Patrick, Daniel Benzali, Robert O'Reilly, Ann Gillespie, Glenn Morshower, Jon Steuer, Paul Tompkins, Steve Rankin, and Mike Gomez).

In 1995 he co-wrote and produced the comedy Aaron Gillespie Will Make You a Star in which he also played the title character. The same year he also co-wrote the book "All You Need to Know About the Movie & TV Business".

Further acting credits include the short comedy Dick Richards (1996, with Ashley Judd, Sean Whalen, and Patrizia Milano), the comedy Bikini Summer III: South Beach Heat (1997, with Tiffany Turner) on which he also worked as second second assistant director, the independent film Delivery (1997, with Amanda Foreman), guest roles in episodes of Murder One (1996, with Barbara Bosson, Jack Kehler, Rick Worthy, Gregory Itzin, Don McManus, Ron Canada, Neal McDonough, Cecily Adams, Jim Beaver, Milt Tarver, and produced by Marc Buckland), Brooklyn South (1998, with James B. Sikking, Titus Welliver, Don Stark, Mark Kiely, Brigid Brannagh, and L.L. Ginter), and Melrose Place (1998, with Dan Gauthier, Cliff DeYoung, and Mimi Cozzens), the comedy Fashionably L.A. (1999, with Lisa Kaminir and Delilah Stombs), the comedy Internet Love (2000), the thriller You're Killing Me... (2001, with Neal McDonough), and the independent film Elvis Took a Bullet (2001).
