Sayana was a Vaalian native of Gamma Trianguli VI.

When crewmembers from the USS Enterprise transported to the planet in 2267, Sayana and Makora angered Vaal by copying the amorous actions of Pavel Chekov and Martha Landon.

After the Enterprise destroyed Vaal, Sayana and her people began to discover the everyday ways of life for themselves. (TOS: "The Apple")

Sayana was portrayed by Shari Nims.
