A saxophone on a stand

A saxophone is an ancient conical Earth musical instrument, a member of the woodwind family.

Benny Russell had a saxophone in his apartment in Harlem in the 1950s. (DS9: "Far Beyond the Stars")

Ensign Harry Kim took up the Alto Saxophone in 2376, after he'd stopped playing the clarinet. (VOY: "Ashes to Ashes")

While he was temporarily given command of a Kraylor transport in 2377, he brought with him his saxophone, his Starfleet Academy diploma, and a certificate commemorating the Apollo 11 quadcentennial to decorate his ready room. (VOY: "Nightingale")

Harry Kim, saxophone

Later that year, Ensign Kim was practicing his sax when Lieutenant Paris asked to sleep on his couch, after Paris' wife kicked him out. (VOY: "Lineage")

During a musical recital in early 2378, Harry Kim played his saxophone. A month later, The Doctor mentioned to Kim that he told B'Elanna Torres that his playing reminded him of a wounded targ, and apologized for his indelicate behavior. (VOY: "Renaissance Man")
