A salad was a food dish that consisted of multiple mixed (often fresh) ingredients and sometimes salad dressing. Although usually very healthy, many people didn't like the taste of it.

In 2004, the fast food restaurant Burgerland located in Detroit, Michigan offered a "Fiesta Salad" as part of their menu. (ENT: "Carpenter Street")

T'Pol was known to have a variety of salad which included carrots, green beans, celery sticks, and sliced cucumbers. (ENT: "The Andorian Incident")

The galley aboard Enterprise NX-01 prepared different varietes of salad. (ENT: "The Catwalk")
