Sala Baker (born 22 September 1976; age 47) is a stuntman and stunt actor from Wellington, New Zealand who performed stunts as a Romulan guard in J.J. Abrams' Star Trek and other stunts for Star Trek Into Darkness. According to fellow Romulan stuntman Damion Poitier, during production of Star Trek, Baker was originally billed as "Drill Hanson #2" on the call sheet but like Poitier later chosen to be a stunt player instead of a named character. His face was reused in 2013 for card #28, Romulan Guard Kim'tal, of the virtual collectible card battle game Star Trek: Rivals.
Baker is probably best known for his debut role as main villain Sauron and other Orc characters in Peter Jackson's fantasy trilogy The Lord of the Rings (2001-2003), where he appeared along with Trek performers John Rhys-Davies, Karl Urban and Brad Dourif.
Baker performed stunts in the first three Pirates of the Caribbean films (2003, 2006, and 2007) and was part of the stunt cast to receive a Screen Actors Guild Award nomination for Outstanding Performance by a Stunt Ensemble in a Motion Picture in 2008 for the latter one.
